The Shiprepair Yard REM VARNA EOOD was found in 1897. It is situated on the shore of Varna lake at distance of 20 km from Varna, on territory of 617 000 sq. m, and has total length of the coastal line 1700m.
     Our clients are shipowners from Mediterranean and Black Sea region, as well as North Sea and White Sea.
     REM VARNA EOOD is member and founder of Black Sea Region Association of Shipbuilders and Ship repairers.
     The Yard implemented Quality Assurance System, which meets the requirements of Standard ISO 9001 and was certified from Bulgarian Ministry of Defense for AQAP 110.

1. Overhaul and re-equipment of vessels.
   • Overhaul, re-equipment and refurbishing of vessels of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Naval Forces of the Russian Federation.
   • Overhaul, re-equipment and refurbishing of Bulgarian and foreign commercial vessels.
2. Shipbuilding.
   • Building of ancillary vessels for the purposes of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria and for export.
   • Small-displacement shipbuilding for persons and companies.
3. Carrying out of civil orders.
4. Loading and construction of the plants unused capacity.

For its purposes REM has:

• Entirely infrastructural industrial area of 700 000 sq m: with electricity, water, compressed-air and acetylene supply, welding equipment and cranes;
• Two floating docks:
  • Dock 1 floating reinforced concrete; length 155 m; width 23,4 m; cranes 2 x 5 t; load capacity 7000 t;
  • Dock 2 floating handling dock; length 115 m; width 16,8 m; cranes 1 x 8 t; total load capacity of the dock 2224 t, 1800 t with a vessel train; three building berth sites, possible construction of another three building berth sites, serviced by 16-tonne and 8-tonne cranes. The dock allows 4 to 6 ships and submarines to be docked simultaneously;
• The repair wharfs of a combined length of 960 m are equipped with 25-tonne and 16-tonne cranes;
• The manufacturing blocks are equipped with service stands and tooling for maintenance of the current equipment and the armaments of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria.
